A gumball machine, ill rebuked, once ruled the lobby of the Best Western

deported to the 3rd floor, citizenship in dispute.

Forgot to carry its papers; Stockholm syndrome silent, awkwardly aware

There is no justice in an ice dispenser; cold hearted, cubed, bulky cladded

hulk. Dimly it recalls the days of Berry Blast, the bubbles popped, the chewing, and the laughs.
